The first annual Vlastimil Hort Tournament, an individual rapid chess competition, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025. This esteemed event will be hosted at the prestigious Hotel Don Giovanni Prague and is proudly organized under the auspices of Czech Inn Chess. The tournament serves as a tribute to the legendary Czech Grandmaster Vlastimil Hort, who stands as one of the most successful and celebrated chess players in the history of Czech chess.

Prizes
A total of 4500 CZK in cash prizes will be awarded, in addition to special material prizes which include books authored by the Grandmaster Vlastimil Hort himself.

Prizes will not be shared among tied players. In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be applied sequentially to determine the winner: total points, median Buchholz, Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger, and if necessary, a drawing of lots.
