Cat Quest III

Rum & Gun

Republic of Pirates

Por ejemplo, puedes cooperar para manejar un gran bergantín, lo que requiere un trabajo en equipo coordinado: uno al timón, otro con las velas, un tercero vigilando el horizonte, un cuarto disparando los cañones y un quinto tapando las brechas. Es uno de los mejores proyectos piratas para jugar con amigos, donde tú mismo escribes tu historia y eliges tu actividad, obteniendo una tormenta de emociones. Puedes formar alianzas con otros jugadores o entablar batallas cruentas, tanto en tierra como en mar. O puedes realizar tareas pacíficas para las facciones: cazar tesoros, transportar animales y mercancías valiosas, pescar y cocinar, luchar contra criaturas míticas y no muertas. Jugar solo también es posible, pero requiere un enfoque diferente y más paciente. El proyecto sigue creciendo incluso ocho años después de su lanzamiento: el contenido aumenta constantemente y su calidad agrada a la audiencia fiel.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
La franquicia de asesinos enmascarados tiene en su historial la historia del pirata Edward Kenway. La acción se desarrolla en el mar Caribe durante la Edad de Oro de la piratería, de 1715 a 1722. Al principio del juego, Edward es muy cínico y egoísta. Busca fama, riqueza y aventuras. Pero gradualmente, el héroe se ve envuelto en la antigua guerra entre asesinos y templarios y cambia. La trama está estrechamente relacionada con la república pirata en Nassau, y en el juego puedes conocer a muchos piratas famosos, incluido Edward Teach, conocido por el apodo de Barbanegra. Junto con las mecánicas clásicas de la franquicia, el juego se centra en la exploración de las profundidades submarinas, la personalización y mejora del barco, así como en las batallas navales. En cuanto a la jugabilidad, es un beat ‘em up clásico para la franquicia. Majima tiene su habitual estilo de combate «Perro Rabioso» con su característico tanto y un nuevo estilo pirata «Perro Marino» con sable, pistolas y garfio. Se puede explorar Honolulu de la octava parte y varias islas. Las novedades incluyen: combates navales, mejora y personalización del barco, una línea argumental separada de enfrentamiento con otros piratas, así como un coliseo donde tienen lugar combates de barcos.

Sid Meier’s Pirates

Puedes ignorar la búsqueda de familiares durante años y simplemente dedicarte a tu actividad favorita: robar galeones españoles, por ejemplo. Pero tu personaje no es inmortal. Al principio del juego, el protagonista tiene 18 años y cuando cumpla 40, su salud, ataque y velocidad disminuirán. Y tarde o temprano, cuando el héroe tenga entre 50 y 60 años (dependiendo de la dificultad), tendrá que retirarse.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire
En la segunda entrega de Pillars of Eternity, la acción se traslada al archipiélago tropical de Deadfire. Aquí las naciones coloniales chocan con las tribus locales, el comercio de esclavos prospera y las principales autoridades suelen ser los piratas. ¿No es un lugar ideal para aventuras marítimas? La historia comienza con la fuga del dios Eothas, que se ha apoderado de una enorme estatua. El jugador tendrá que perseguirlo, viajando por mares y tierra, reuniendo una tripulación de siete leales compañeros, y luego desentrañar las motivaciones de la deidad fugitiva. Un clásico de los juegos de rol al estilo D&D. Tendrás a tu disposición un auténtico barco-fortaleza con personalización y gestión de la tripulación. El jugador tendrá que contratar marineros y asignarles puestos clave, y la bandera elegida determinará quién se convertirá en tu enemigo y quién en tu aliado. El juego te da todas las oportunidades para desatarte: puedes hundir barcos mercantes y saquearlos. Tendrás que decidir constantemente: atacar o ayudar, vender esclavos o liberarlos. Todo esto crea el mundo pirata que no permite ser bueno.
Return to Monkey Island
La aventura point-and-click del estudio Terrible Toybox es una continuación directa de Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, juego de 1991. El protagonista, el famoso (aunque torpe) pirata Guybrush Threepwood, regresa años después a su isla natal, Melee. Se siente fuera de lugar: el misterio de Monkey Island aún no se ha resuelto, y él mismo parece atrapado en el pasado. Pero en casa le esperan cambios, ya que la isla está ahora gobernada por jóvenes, modernos y muy arrogantes piratas liderados por la Capitana Madison. Y en el horizonte aparece de nuevo su eterno enemigo: el pirata zombi LeChuck, que también busca el secreto de Monkey Island. Cat Quest III
Esta acogedora aventura felina narra la historia de un gato pelirrojo y su leal compañero espiritual, el Capitán Cappy, en la búsqueda de la legendaria Estrella Polar en un mundo pirata. Según la leyenda, este artefacto cumple cualquier deseo, y los héroes serán obstaculizados por el malvado Rey Rataro y su banda. Todo el proyecto es un gran juego de palabras. Todos los diálogos, nombres y apodos están estilizados con temática de gatos: «Captain Meowtallica», «Murrsalka», «Islas Purrribeas», etc. El texto está traducido al ruso de forma brillante, conservando todos los juegos de palabras. Pero a pesar de la dulzura, las misiones son a veces tristes y conmovedoras. Ante nosotros hay un action-RPG en vista isométrica 2.5D. En combate puedes usar armas cuerpo a cuerpo y a distancia, así como magia, combinando fácilmente todo. Por ejemplo, puedes ponerte una armadura de rockero y golpear a los enemigos con un hacha-guitarra eléctrica. Rum & Gun
Un «diabloide» pirata ambientado en el océano Índico, donde el protagonista intenta desvelar los secretos del Dios Borracho y convertirse en un pirata legendario. El juego no se corta en humor tonto, un montón de referencias y absurdo. Aquí todo gira en torno a la bebida: el pirata se cura con ron, y en el inventario hay una ranura separada para el hígado del héroe. En Rum & Gun, el jugador tendrá que explorar niveles, recoger botín y destruir hordas de enemigos. La jugabilidad es dinámica y caótica. El combate se centra principalmente en el uso de armas de fuego, pero nadie te prohíbe luchar con sables o garfios de abordaje. Es una lástima que las batallas navales sean escasas. La progresión se realiza buscando equipo, del que hay mucho en el juego: 33 estilos de sombrero, 30 tipos de armas, 15 mascotas, runas para modificar ataques y mucho más. Cuando subes de nivel, recibes cuatro habilidades pasivas aleatorias para elegir. También hay minijuegos. Por ejemplo, puedes jugar a los dados o levantar la moral de la tripulación tocando instrumentos musicales. Y después de completar la historia, se desbloquea el modo «roguelike» «Caza del Tesoro Infinita» y la Arena.
Republic of Pirates

En la isla puedes desarrollar tu granja y pescar. Aquí los PNJ viven sus vidas, hablan entre sí y ocurren varios eventos en el asentamiento. Por ejemplo, pueden castigar públicamente a los delincuentes en la plaza. Al navegar por el mar, controlas el barco en un mapa global, y a medida que te mueves, las nubes de «niebla de guerra» se disipan, revelando nuevas islas, barcos enemigos o eventos aleatorios. This first-person multiplayer online game invites you to live the dream of being a pirate in a vast open world. Sea of Thieves is a sandbox where everything depends on the players’ actions. For example, you can cooperate to manage a large brigantine, which requires coordinated teamwork: one at the helm, another with the sails, a third keeping watch on the horizon, a fourth firing cannons, and a fifth patching leaks. It’s one of the best pirate projects for playing with friends, where you write your own story and get a storm of emotions. You can form alliances with other players or engage in fierce battles, both on land and at sea, or peacefully complete faction quests: hunt for treasure, transport valuable goods, fish and cook, fight mythical creatures and the undead. Playing alone is also possible, but it requires a different, more patient approach. The project continues to grow even eight years after its release: content is constantly increasing, and its quality pleases the loyal audience.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
The franchise of hooded assassins features the story of the pirate Edward Kenway. The action takes place in the Caribbean Sea during the Golden Age of Piracy, from 1715 to 1722. Initially cynical and selfish, Edward, seeking fame and fortune, gradually gets involved in the ancient war between assassins and templars and changes. The plot is closely tied to the pirate republic in Nassau, and in the game, you can meet many famous pirates, including Edward Teach, known by the nickname Blackbeard. Along with the classic franchise mechanics, the gameplay involves exploring underwater depths, customizing and upgrading your ship, as well as engaging naval battles. You can capture other ships, hunt convoys, trade, and even manage an entire fleet in a separate mini-game. The project perfectly conveys the feeling of freedom and adventure, enhanced by the music and sea shanties your sailors sing during voyages. A remake is coming out soon, but the original game is still relevant and available at a low price during sales.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
This spin-off of the Like a Dragon series is set after the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The protagonist is Goro Majima, who suffers a shipwreck and loses his memory. He gathers a pirate crew, becomes a captain, and embarks on a quest for treasures and his lost memories. The plot is connected to the legend of Hawaiian pirates and a hidden ancient treasure. The game turns out to be vivid and crazy, in the spirit of the series: with its characteristic combination of serious drama, absurd humor, and an open world filled with mini-games and interesting side quests. In terms of gameplay, it’s a classic beat ‘em up for the franchise. Majima uses his usual «Mad Dog» fighting style with his signature tanto, and a new «Sea Dog» pirate style with a saber, pistols, and a hook. You can explore Honolulu from the eighth part and several islands. New features include: naval combat, ship upgrades and customization, a separate storyline of confrontation with other pirates, as well as a coliseum where ship battles take place.
Windrose
This project from the ‘Uzbek’ studio Kraken Express is a survival game with RPG elements, building, and naval combat. The protagonist is betrayed and killed by the legendary pirate Blackbeard, who steals his family heirloom and sinks his crew. The hero survives and finds himself on a deserted island, where he must gather resources, find food, equip his base, and fight pirates, Spaniards, and monsters. All this is necessary to rebuild a fortress, hire a crew, build a ship, and take revenge, as well as uncover the mystical secrets of this world, including the supernatural forces of the ocean. The project will not let you get bored, as leveling up occurs through exploration, which does not allow you to stand still. It will be especially fun in cooperative mode. The game features a large arsenal of weapons, both melee and ranged, as well as a rich set of equipment with different characteristics. You can create different character and even ship builds. You will have to travel by sea and through three land biomes: jungles, swamps, and foothills. The project allows you to feel the entire atmosphere of pirate life through its graphics and music. Despite being released recently and still in early access, the game has already gained immense popularity: 2 million copies have been sold by the time of this compilation!
Sid Meier’s Pirates
This pirate project by game designer Sid Meier gives you the freedom to be whoever you want. You can become a noble privateer in the service of the Crown, a ruthless pirate, or a successful merchant, all set against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea during the Golden Age of Piracy. You control the son of a noble family whose estate was destroyed and whose relatives were kidnapped by the cunning Spanish Marquis de Montalbán. Ten years later, the protagonist receives a ship and begins his career, trying to find his missing relatives, take revenge on Montalbán, and get rich. The game is non-linear. You can ignore the search for relatives for years and simply engage in your favorite activity – robbing Spanish galleons, for example. However, your character is not immortal. At the beginning of the game, the protagonist is 18 years old, and by the time he turns 40, his health, attack, and speed will decrease. Sooner or later, when the hero is 50-60 years old (depending on the difficulty), he will have to retire.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire
In the second installment of Pillars of Eternity, the action moves to the tropical Deadfire Archipelago. Here, colonial empires clash with local tribes, slave trade flourishes, and pirates are often the main authorities. What an ideal place for sea adventures! The story begins with the escape of the god Eothas, who has possessed a giant statue. You will have to catch up with him, traveling by sea and land, gathering a crew of seven loyal companions, and then unraveling the motives of the runaway deity. This is a classic D&D-style role-playing game. You will have a real fortress-ship at your disposal with customization and crew management. You will need to hire sailors and assign them to key positions, and your chosen flag will determine who becomes your enemy and who becomes your ally. The game offers all opportunities for indulgence: you can sink merchant ships and plunder them. You will constantly have to decide: attack or help, sell slaves or release them. All this creates the very pirate world where it is difficult to be good.
Return to Monkey Island
This point-and-click quest from Terrible Toybox studio is a direct continuation of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, a 1991 game. The protagonist, the famous (though clumsy) pirate Guybrush Threepwood, returns to his native Melee Island after many years. He feels out of place: the mystery of Monkey Island has not been solved, and he seems stuck in the past. But at home, changes await him, as the island is now ruled by young, fashionable, and very confident pirates led by Captain Madison. And on the horizon, his eternal enemy reappears – the zombie pirate LeChuck, who is also hunting for the secret of Monkey Island. Guybrush will have to assemble a crew, find allies (and enemies) in new lands, and finally solve the main riddle of his life. The developers aimed to preserve the spirit of original point-and-click quests, while making the game more friendly to modern audiences. The player will need to explore locations, talk to characters, collect items, and solve puzzles, all with absurd situations, witty dialogues, fourth-wall breaks, and self-irony. The game has two difficulty levels: you can choose a mode with simpler and more obvious puzzles or a «retro mode» for true connoisseurs.
Cat Quest III
This cozy feline adventure tells the story of a ginger cat and his loyal spirit companion, Captain Cappy, hunting for the legendary North Star in a pirate world. According to legend, this artifact grants any wish, and the heroes will be hindered by the evil King Rataro and his gang. The entire project is one big pun. All dialogues, titles, and names are stylized with a feline theme: «Captain Meowtallica,» «Murrsalka,» «Purribbean Islands,» and so on. The text is brilliantly translated into Russian, preserving all the puns. But despite the cuteness, the quests are sometimes sad and touching. It’s an action-RPG in 2.5D isometric view. In combat, you can use melee and ranged weapons, as well as magic, easily combining everything. For example, you can put on rocker armor and beat enemies with a guitar-axe. Unlike previous parts, here the cat has its own ship, on which you can sail between islands, fight in artillery duels, and board enemy ships. The world map is not huge, but it is very dense and does not limit you in any way.
Rum & Gun
A pirate «diabloid» set in the Indian Ocean, where the protagonist tries to uncover the secrets of the Drunken God and become a legendary pirate. The game doesn’t shy away from stupid humor, lots of references, and absurdity. Everything here is built around drinking: the pirate heals with rum, and there’s a separate slot in the inventory for the hero’s liver. In Rum & Gun, players will explore levels, collect loot, and destroy hordes of enemies. The gameplay is dynamic and chaotic. Combat focuses on firearms, but no one forbids you from using sabers or boarding hooks. It’s a shame there aren’t many naval battles. Progression is done through finding equipment, of which there is plenty: 33 hat styles, 30 weapon types, 15 pets, runes to modify attacks, and much more. When you level up, you get four random passive skills to choose from. There are also mini-games. For example, you can play dice or boost the crew’s morale by playing musical instruments. After completing the story, the «roguelike» mode «Endless Treasure Hunt» and the Arena are unlocked.
Republic of Pirates
The project from Crazy Goat Games tells the story of the legendary Republic of Pirates – an alliance of clans who lived by a code of honor. But one day, greed took over, and three pirate lords staged a rebellion, destroying everything. Playing as the heir of the deposed leader, who was saved by his father’s loyal comrade, you seek revenge, reclaim the lands, and restore the confederation. Unlike most pirate games, Republic of Pirates doesn’t involve chasing an abstract treasure. It’s a fusion of a city-building simulator and real-time strategy naval battles. You start with a small outpost on a remote island, which gradually turns into a thriving pirate haven. You need to build, establish production chains, increase the population, and explore islands to obtain resources. Another crucial part of the game is real-time naval battles. The player has eight types of ships available, from which they can build their fleet by hiring captains in taverns, developing them, and customizing them. But fighting is not mandatory, as you can build relationships with pirate clans and trading companies, forging alliances.
Seablip
A charming pixel-art RPG, a mix of Stardew Valley, Terraria, and FTL, but about pirates. The protagonist inherits a modest small boat from his adoptive parents and wants to restore the former glory of the small island of Siblyp, which has fallen into decline. He also seeks revenge against the powerful faction of Lawless Octopuses, which terrorizes the seas, while figuring out why the northern ice is melting and where icebergs come from in the south. The game has a very cozy and «warm» atmosphere. The gameplay combines island life simulation, world exploration, and tactical naval combat. On the island, you can develop your farm and fish. Here NPCs live their own lives, talk to each other, and various events occur in the settlement. For example, criminals may be publicly punished in the town square. When sailing at sea, you control the ship on a global map, and as you move, the «fog of war» clouds dissipate, revealing new islands, enemy ships, or random events. Each island in the game is unique and inspired by a specific culture. When you encounter an enemy on the map, a tactical battle begins, in which you can pause the game.

The game tells the story of the semi-undead pirate Afia Manicato, who, along with the ghost ship «Red Marley,» which serves as a hub, sets out in search of Captain Mordecai’s legendary treasure. She is hunted by the Inquisition – religious fanatics who hate everything supernatural and pursue cursed pirates. The script is light and spirited, steeped in humor and reminiscent of «Pirates of the Caribbean,» although there are also serious dramatic moments. Shadow Gambit takes Mimimi’s proven tactical formula and integrates it into an open and non-linear structure. Here, you decide which island to sail to and in what order to complete missions. Each island is a handcrafted sandbox that allows you to reach your goal in various ways. In combat, you can pause the game and give each hero a chain of commands, and if something goes wrong, instantly rewind a few seconds. All characters are unique and have their own supernatural powers that can be used depending on the situation.
